P&V Session Joven 2024
Screw tasting notes. It's made by Blind Corner, biodynamic vineyard, the colour is a chilled red, it's some sort of blend and my glass seems to have a hole in it....
Brave New Wine Small Town Red 2022
A charismatic and very original blend of varieties, red and white, that ends up in a sloshy, soft, juicy red of dark cherry, sour cherry, turned earth, dried herbal characters with pepper and truffle in tow. It’s easy drinking, generous in a way, crisp with acidity and then a little chewy and chompy with soft tannins chiming in. Good vibes here, off beat, unusual, floral, meaty, fruity all in the same breath. Wonderful wine.
Tampopo Pinot Noir 2023
Forest of dreams, fantasy spice cupboard. Red frogs, green moss. Daytime red drinking.
Luzador Los Andreses Tinto 2022
Baked plum and malted chocolate flavours... spice and a bit of perfume, and some dried herbs. It’s a ripe and fleshy wine, and I like the silty tannin it offers, along with some dried raspberry and orange peel, and a round finish of moderate length. - The Wine Front
Rendez-vous Malbec 2018
From left of centre Bordeaux producer Julien Mignot. The six years age here have made this wine more approachable and dark fruited with elements of savoury nuttiness. Expect mulberry and blackcurrant characters with game meat, truffle, mixed dried herbs and some ferrous, earthy qualities. The wine still retains some of its bright acidity to enhance drinkability. A wine on the move.
Maison Soleil Syrah
Shiraz from the certified organic Aramis vinyard in McLaren Vale. 100% shiraz, 20 year old vines. All fruit de-stemmed and kept on skins for a short 9 day maceration, with a small amount of direct pressed juice.
