Fabien Jouves Skin-Contact Maceration 2021 - Cahors, France
Somewhere in the zone of three months of maceration, with ugni blanc one of the varieties involved in the main. Proper orange colour, hazy too. Lots of floral whiffs but pleasing, some just ripe apricot and just ripe pineapple whiffs, a touch of mustard powder and turned earth. Good vibes. The palate is chewy, bright, refreshing with a zesty acid line and bright, green apple crunch. Has some edgier elements and works them well. Good gear, this. - The Wine Front
