Huamani Torontel Pisco
Huamani Torontel Pisco
Pisco can be tracked back to the mid 1500s when Spanish Conquistadores invaded Peru bringing with them wine and as the demand for more wine grew the Marquis Francisco de Caravantes had vineyards planted in the south city of Ica, which is known as the cradle of pisco in Peru.
In the Inca language Quechua, Huamaní refers to the mountain spirits who protected the Incan people and their harvests. Don Ismael de la Quintana started his journey of making Huamaní pisco in 1890 and today it is made to the very same recipe.
Using just the torontel grape varietal, this pisco is delicate and floral with some lemon grass and honey notes, great for an aperitif or just to sip solo.
