This comes from the Lansdowne Vineyard, organic farmed, and is produced in a beautiful, old, stone-hewn winery in the Adelaide Hills that has hosted a litany of interesting winemakers over the past decade and more. Now home to JB, as per here, Aaron Fenwick (Whip Wines) and Chef Matt Stone (Wines by Matt Stone).

This is good. Real good. Red fruited, savoury, earthy elements, game meat, undergrowth and dried leaves, caraway seeds, alpine herbs. Succulent and fresh, fine, gently chalky in texture and finishes with a twist of bitter herbs and subtle, almost Fernet-like character. This ticks boxes. Refreshing, energetic, pure and fine. Gossamer. The lighter yet energetic feel is superb. Sheesh, this is right up there for Aus gamay, or geez, anywhere. - The Wine Front
