Les Bottes Rouges La Pépée Pinot Noir 2023

Jean-Baptiste Menigoz, previously a teacher, is a small-scale vigneron working with tiny plots of vines across varied districts of Jura. He has amassed a cult following for his pure, lively renderings of local varieties. These are, indeed, very rare wines. This pinot noir is delicate and succulent, bright with an array of red berry fruitiness, dashed with alpine herbs, showing just a touch of pleasing, white mushroom savouriness and umami character. A beautiful, light weight red.
