Tuscan wine of an au naturale nature. Mostly vermentino, made like a red wine with full maceration and fermentation in open, large format barrel, then pressed off and matured in barrel for 18 months.

Chunky textured but skittish acidity underlying. Orange peel, cumquat marmalade, dried ginger, dried pear, dried mango and dashes of mustard powder and pepper. Lots of flavour and texture but at medium weight and with rippling, grippy, minerally tannin in tow. Formidable, delicious and serious wine. - winefront.co.au
