Tinta barocca, syrah, and then bits of grenache, cinsault and 1% carignan for x-factor. Screw capped. Organic vines and a solid expression of Swartland’s new age, though we’re over a decade past that original conversation.
Supple and rich, layered with woody and herbal spice, wonderfully loose knit and yet with some depth, brooding, darker fruits and nutty-woody characters. Mellow, wildly appealing, a faint wild edge of tang and freshness too. Such ease of drinking and easy appeal – albeit this is a more wintery, cooler night red wine.- Wine Front
