Only the finest wines can make a pheasant cry. This wine definitely could do such a thing. Not only is John Wurdeman one of the nicest guys, but he truly is one of the most important winemakers/growers in Georgia as he is so focus and dedicated to preserving as many of the 525 local varieties that he can. This wine although is one of his longest skin contact examples of the Rkatsiteli grape. Definitely characters of orange, dried mango, something ferrous and earthy on the nose. Moving to bergamot tea and a real smokiness on the palate. Gosh this is structured and delicious, stupendous drinking!
