Rocco di Carpeneto is a natural winery located in Carpeneto (Al) on a small plateau amidst the Upper Monferrato hills, namely the closest to Mediterranean Sea in Piedmont. Lidia and Paolo dry farm twelve hectares of vines where everything is done by hand and no sulphur is added at any stage of the wine making process.
The clay-based vineyard was planted in 1985 and the yields are therefore very low, around 50 ql / ha. Fermentation takes place using only indigenous yeasts in steel tanks with maceration on the skins for three days. The wine then matures in acacia barrels.
Beautiful example of cortese, structure and intense, that shows fruits, flowers and great acidity.
