"See my tailor, he’s called Simon, I know it’s going to fit.” This is 100% Merlot, foot stomped, left to sit for five hours, then whole bunch pressed. 100% stainless on lees for six months. 100% malo. As an aside, I like it being called rosato, because you don’t have to look for the special character on the e for the French name.
Quite some colour here, which is nice for me, because often pale equates to not much in the way of flavour. This is a savoury, nutty/almondy number, something of a saline manzanilla tang, cherries both sour and juicy, a smattering of dried orange peel, earth and spice. It has a pleasing sort of gently sandy grip, watermelon rind and cranberry, sappy crunch and tang to acidity, with a blood orange flavour on a crisp finish of good length. It’s interesting and charismatic; not bland. I like it a lot. Recommended. - WineFront.com.au
