Pedro ximinez as a table wine. This has been in fine form over past releases – a distinct one here, more gravelly, grippy and orange-juicy than the more precise, saline, Fino-like versions of the recent past. Works, regardless.

Honeydew melon, green mango, orange juice, toasty cinnamon, lemon-lime, tart grapefruit, green apple, some hazelnut and walnut elements in the mix, but a gentle lilt of that lending savouriness. A little rustic, grippy and silty, but has a nourishing feel. It has a swagger and freshness amongst it all. A unique take on the variety and a worthy entry fee for the experience.
