Sieman Occhio al Bianco 2022
Sieman Occhio al Bianco 2022
Sieman are in Veneto, in more or less the heart of the region. Sieman in Venetian dialect means six hands, standing for the three brothers behind the wine. In 2013 the brothers quit their day jobs and focused on wine and agriculture. The first releases under a label were 2015, working via famed producer Angiolino Maule. This is a blend of garganega, tai bianco (grenache blanc), incrocio manzoni. There’s also some amazing beers in the mix, from this project. The wines, however, are meant to be wines without fuss, all organic, no additives. Fermented on skins for up to a week (the portions).
Very perfumed, lemon sorbet and green mango, pretty floral notes, fennel and faint salty nuttiness. So lovely. Salty and minerally fresh to taste, so refreshing, has this savouriness and chew, click of saline acidity and waxiness through to the puckering finish.
