Slow Lane Wines Pinot Noir 2023

This delightful wine is from Dom Smith of Slow Lane Wines in the Adelaide Hills.

From a sheltered, 1 hectare block of vines grown organically by Jack Nelligan. Dark grey and brown loams mixed with some quartz gravel. This unique site provides an elegant but firm expression of Pinot noir. Handpicked fruit was fully destemmed & macerated for varying periods before maturing for 10-11 months in 500L & 300L barrels (20% new). The blended wine was further rested in tank for 9 months before being bottled via gravity. In the glass it is driven by cherry aromas with some orange zest & cured meat in the mix. It’s a high energy example of Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir, with a lengthy and creamy finish. - Slow Lane Wines
