From a higher site at 550 metres above sea level, left in stainless, old oak and concrete to get to its journey end.
A firm, tense and dry wine. Medium weight, some brightness to fruit but also ashy, smoky elements and dark, drying fruit characters in tow. Choc-cherry, mocha, smoked paprika, liquorice, salted herbs. Very firm finish. Needs time, but also, that benign decay may not fill out the wine enough to get it off this very firm trajectory. - winefront.com.au
