Swallowfield is a pretty apt name for a good wine. Pressed to stainless and let to oxidise to build complexity. I tend to like the brown juice chardonnay producers, a proclivity as such. Marc Lunt is one of the more understated, fly-under-the-radar winemakers going around, making seriously top flight wines.

It’s got this hazy-grippy, stoney quality in texture. The perfume is a little mute but pleasingly set to ripe apple, halva and green mango characters. The palate more in the almond zone, some green nectarine characters, lime juice and briny mineral character. Refreshing and textural at once. There’s plenty to sink one’s teeth into here, balanced, nuanced, interesting and delicious. - The Wine Front
