Terzini CO.OP NO SO2 Sassara Vino Rosato 2022

A collaboration project that sees restaurateur Maurice Terzini team up with importer Fox Wine Company and Lago di Garda winery Sassara Vini, which is not far off Verona. A blend of corvina, rondinella and molinara. Pale-ish rosato style, but there’s more impact in texture and savouriness here than expected. And nothing added to the biodynamic farmed fruit. And geez it’s lively and good drinking!

Scents of watermelon rind, pomegranate juice, fennel and faint Chinese five spice. Exotic and enticing perfume, lots of it, super fresh, almost a briny, minerally feel to each sniff. The palate has crunch and crispness on its side, light haze of talc-like tannin, a juicy appeal too, lots of that watermelon character, cranberry drink, woody spices, green almond and faint gingery notes that linger through the exceptionally persistent finish.
