The Farmer's Wife Warm Winter Gin
Regular price $130
This is the type of gin that usually scares us, barrel aged... get out! Peat... what? Surely these things are coving up all those delicate botanicals which we search out for in carefully crafted gin, surely all those nuances have been waisted. Ohhhh boy, lucky we tucked in asap because this certainly is a treat and the name 'Warm Winter' perfectly encapsulates what this is about. Maturing their Autumn Dry gin in a peated whisky barrel sourced from Black Gate Distillery in Mendooran NSW, the ageing process has enhanced the botanicals in a really amazing way. Soft and floral with hints of citrus and a savoury smokiness that can only be described as highly pleasing.
A gin which deserves to be drunk neat while sitting next to a fire, a gin which deserves to be enjoyed the same way you would drink your favourite Islay single malt. For all those Negroni lovers out there, this really kicks it up a notch!!
