Tinto de Rulo Pipeno Pais 2021

Traditional 'pipeno winemaking' (extremely old vines, hand de-stemming and hand-crushing, fermenting in specific-to-region clay amphora) from south of Chile. Pipeno winemaking dates back some 250 years - one of the world's great historical continuances in wine. And the young, fresh, vibrant wines that emerge are so exciting. 

Hazy garnet colour, vivid scents of cranberry and pomegranate. Tangy freshness to taste, like a dialed up rosé with hazy texture and plenty of character. Juicy, slightly dusty tannin profile, wild-edged herbal notes, fresh-as-can-be red berry fruit character. Such a delicious, fascinating wine.
