Transcarribean Rum Line Night Rambler
Transcarribean Rum Line Night Rambler
A little left of field here, this rum has two components, one from Haiti and one from Jamaica. There are over 500 small scale family distilleries in Haiti, most still using home-made equipment and old methods passed down from generations. These methods often result in a more pure style of Agricole spirit, which is made from sugar cane juice rather than molasses. In the same van the Jamaican component was distilled with a long and wild ferment which resulted in a funkier high-ester rum. Highly aromatic and punchy this one is designed for mixing and cocktails, try the El Presidente on for size!
The Transcontinental Rum Line range is inspired by the voyages of rum casks between the New World and the Old Continent (Europe), a collaboration between French independent bottler La Maison du Whisky and Velier (an Italy-based Rum innovator that developed its own Caribbean Rum line in the 1980s). Less than 10 cases are chooses for each rum with each style of rum never exceeding 2000 bottles.
